This year's benefit auction and exhibition, "The World Is The Work", brings together artists, curators, and art lovers from The Drawing Center's community. Each guest curator will present a selection of five or more works on paper by artists they admire. Works will be on view at The Drawing Center from October 7 through October 11, and will be available for purchase through a silent auction benefiting The Drawing Center and participating artists. Bidding will begin on September 29 at 12:00 pm ET and end on October 14 at 12:00 pm ET. The Drawing Center rbrickman@drawingcenter.org

Tiona Nekkia McClodden [she/her] is a visual artist, filmmaker, and curator whose interdisciplinary work explores themes of Black interiority, biomythography, re-memory, and queer poetics. Traversing documentary film, experimental video, sculpture, and sound installations, she interrogates ideas of ritual and order through its relationship to identity and the conditions of being human. Living and working in Philadelphia, McClodden has shown her work throughout the United States and internationally, from her solo presentation at Kunsthalle Basel (2023) to group exhibitions at Palais de Tokyo (2025-26). Her work has been exhibited and collected by major institutions such as the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum (2023), the Baltimore Museum of Art (2023), the Philadelphia Museum of Art (2021), and the Whitney Museum of American Art (2019), among others.
