This year's benefit auction and exhibition, "The World Is The Work", brings together artists, curators, and art lovers from The Drawing Center's community. Each guest curator will present a selection of five or more works on paper by artists they admire. Works will be on view at The Drawing Center from October 7 through October 11, and will be available for purchase through a silent auction benefiting The Drawing Center and participating artists. Bidding will begin on September 29 at 12:00 pm ET and end on October 14 at 12:00 pm ET. The Drawing Center rbrickman@drawingcenter.org

Sarah Martin-Nuss (born 1992) is a New York-based artist working across painting, drawing, performance, and sound. Drawing inspiration from biological systems, post- humanist philosophy, and ecology, she explores enactments of transformation and interconnectivity in her practice. Martin-Nuss completed her BA in Fine Art and English Literature from Austin College in 2014 and her MFA in Painting and Drawing from Pratt Institute in 2024. She studied visual arts at the Collège International de Cannes, France, and performance, sound and video art at the School of Visual Arts, New York. She has trained with the Meredith Monk Ensemble, and works extensively with the voice as a compositional and performative tool. Recent exhibitions include Pace Gallery, Los Angeles; Rachel Uffner Gallery, New York; and Prince and Wooster, New York. Collections include JPMorgan Chase Art Collection, New York; The Art Museum of South Texas, Corpus Christi; The Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas; and the North Carolina Museum of Art, Raleigh.
