Megan Lang is an artist living and working between Knoxville, Tennessee, and Brooklyn, New York. Throughout her life, she has explored art through a wide range of disciplines, developing a body of work that reflects both technical skill and personal inquiry. She studied at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) before spending several years working as a studio assistant to another artist while continuing to paint during evenings and weekends.
Lang later earned a degree in art therapy from New York University, where she deepened her understanding of art as a means of communication, healing, and self-expression. She went on to work with both children and adults, using creative practice as a therapeutic tool in diverse settings.
Her work has been featured in solo exhibitions in New York and Los Angeles, as well as numerous notable group exhibitions in New York. Two of these group shows received reviews in The New York Times, highlighting her contributions within the contemporary art community.
A multidisciplinary artist throughout her career, Lang continues to investigate the fluid relationship between painting and drawing. Her current series of work draws on personal experience, memory, and imagination, creating works that blur boundaries between observation and invention while inviting viewers into richly layered visual narratives.
