This year's benefit auction and exhibition, "The World Is The Work", brings together artists, curators, and art lovers from The Drawing Center's community. Each guest curator will present a selection of five or more works on paper by artists they admire. Works will be on view at The Drawing Center from October 7 through October 11, and will be available for purchase through a silent auction benefiting The Drawing Center and participating artists. Bidding will begin on September 29 at 12:00 pm ET and end on October 14 at 12:00 pm ET. The Drawing Center rbrickman@drawingcenter.org

Cora Cohen (1943 – 2023) lived and worked in New York. Solo exhibitions of her work have been held at Greene Naftali, New York (2025); New York Studio School Gallery, New York (2016); Museum Insel Hombroich, Neuss (2011); Joslyn Art Museum, Omaha (1996); Sarah Moody Gallery of Art, Tuscaloosa (1996); State University of New York at Oneonta, New York (1977); and Bennington College, Vermont (1972); among others. Her work has been featured in institutional group exhibitions at American Academy of Arts and Letters, New York (2012); University of Texas, Dallas (2009); Hunter College Gallery, New York (1999); Weatherspoon Art Gallery, Greensboro (1998); Dia Art Foundation, New York (1987); Parrish Art Museum, Southampton (1985); Aldrich Museum, Ridgefield (1976); and Everson Museum of Art, Syracuse (1974), among Others.

 

Cohen's work is in the collections of Bennington College, Vermont; Bryn Mawr College, Pennsylvania; Neuberger Museum of Art, Purchase; Sarah Moody Gallery of Art, Tuscaloosa; Swedish Arts Council, Stockholm; Wayne State University, Detroit; Weatherspoon Art Museum, Greensboro; Harvard Library, Cambridge; and Yale University, New Haven.
